Every year we visit the Gemeentemuseum, now re-named Kunstmuseum, in The Hague. In front of Piet Mondriaan’s last painting, the Victory Boogie Woogie, we measure how much Becca has grown and changed in the last year. Starting in 2006, this year we have made our 16th trip. Even though the museum was still closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were kindly allowed to take our picture. She has quite literally grown into the painting. After 16 years she regards it as ‘hers’.
